Prof. Dr. Mustafa ÖZDEMİR

I was born on June 11, 1970 in Yozgat. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Yozgat and Kayseri. He graduated from Istanbul University, Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1995.

He completed his dermatology specialization training between 1996 and 2000 at Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty, Department of Dermatology, with his thesis titled “Comparison of surgical treatment methods in Vitiligo and basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) level”. Following this, he did his military service at the Kyrenia 200-bed military hospital in Cyprus.

After working as a dermatology specialist in a private hospital in Istanbul for 4 years, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Selçuk University Meram Medical Faculty and Selçuklu Medical Faculty Dermatology Department in 2005-2010. She earned the title of Associate Professor in 2010. She worked at Bezmialem University Faculty of Medicine between 2010-2012. In 2012, he was appointed as the head of the Department of Dermatological and Venereal Diseases, Faculty of Medicine, Istanbul Medipol University.

He became a Professor in August 2015. Areas of interest in dermatology; Vitiligo, Behçet’s disease, hair diseases, allergic skin diseases, psoriasis, biological treatments and acne disease. In the field of cosmetic dermatology, he is interested in botulinum toxin applications, filler applications, lasers, facial and skin rejuvenation systems, thread face lift, lipolysis and mesotherapy.

He has made presentations and published articles in many national/international congresses. He has two books, “Current approaches to psoriasis” and “Clinical metric measurements and classification criteria in dermatology”, which he edited. He has also written chapters in many books. He is a member of many medical associations and is fluent in English.
