CAPILLARY VEINS AND VARICOSE VEINS

Treatment of capillary veins on the face is successfully done with lasers and light devices. In the treatment of capillary veins on the face, pulsed dye lasers (595 nm, 585 nm), 1064 nm Nd:YAG lasers, 532 nm KTP lasers, and IPL (intense pulsed light) are used.

Lasers affect a substance called oxyhemoglobin, which is inside the capillary vein. Oxyhemoglobin heats up due to the laser’s effect. Damaged veins, heated excessively by the blood passing through them, gradually disappear.
